Adie Moran Park, Saturday, 3pm.

Heys welcome FC Oswestry Town to Adie Moran Park on Saturday looking to bounce back from Wednesday night’s disappointing home defeat to Stockport Town.

The defeat was a fifth in six games for Jon Lyons side and punctured the optimism generated by last weekend’s win at Alsager.

The run has also damaged Heys play-off hopes and they now sit in 10th place in the table, eight points off the last play-off slot of sixth, but with three games in hand.

Occupying that sixth spot are Oswestry who arrive as the form team in the division.

After a patchy start to the season a change of Manager was made by the Shropshire side and has paid dividends.

New boss Michael Barton has over seen a run of five successive League wins that has put them firmly in the play-off picture.

It’s such a run that Heys now need to produce. With games in hand on the sides above them all is not lost but they need to start pulling it around quickly if they are to head into the New Year with those hopes still alive.
