Saturday, Adie Moran Park, kick off 2pm

With eight games remaining Saturday marks the start of the run in – the chance to turn all the hard work thus far into some silverware.

Heys Reserves return to action on Saturday when they host Royton Town at Adie Moran Park. Kick off 1.30pm.

It will be the third time the sides have met this season with the honours thus far going Heys way.

Both the previous games were at Royton with Heys winning the league match in October 4-1. The next time they met was in the Open Trophy in November when Heys came from behind to triumph 4-3 in extra time.

Since then Royton have lost just once and come in to the game as one of the divisions in form teams with four wins and a draw in their last five outings, which has moved them up to fourth in the table.

For Heys, it’s a tough looking challenge but with only defeat all season and an emphatic 6-0 win at Hollinwood in their last outing Jeff Kavanagh’s side will approach the game with confidence.

With eight games remaining Saturday marks the start of the run in – the chance to turn all the hard work thus far into some silverware.

It’s the first of five successive home league and cup games for Heys as they look to complete a League and Cup double.

Completing a hat-trick over Royton would be a good start towards that ambition.
