Unbeaten Wythenshawe Amateurs sure to test Heys resolve.

Saturday's emphatic win at Elton Vale lifted spirits and raised hopes in the Heys camp that they have finally found their feet after a stuttering start to the season.

A mixture of fine football, hard work, and gritty resolve were the ingredients of the 5-0 win and Jon Lyons will be looking for a repeat showing from his side on Saturday.

Certainly nothing less will do. The Ammies have made a fantastic start to the season dropping just two points in their first eight games to lead the table by seven points.

They have already completed league doubles over Dukinfield and Walshaw, two of the other early pacesetters, which suggests Wythenshawe are going to be the team to beat this season.

Heys need to ensure they return from Longley Lane with something to help build momentum and keep their league aspirations ticking over. The rest of the league will doubtless also be looking for them to try and halt Wythenshawe's gallop.

It is the first meeting of the season for the clubs but both already share some common ground having both been knocked out of the Lancashire Shield on penalties by CMB Sports. By all accounts the Ammies were like Heys , left scratching their heads wondering how they lost.

Heys will hope to have Captain Gareth Walsh, Paul Tierney and Conor Landers available, the trio having missed Saturday's win and will also wait on the fitness of Shaun Johnson as he continues his comeback from a long injury absence.

Whatever the selection Jon Lyons makes, the instructions will doubtless be - more of the same please.

Kick off is 2pm.
