Reserves aim to maintain 100% record

Heys head to the Peak District on Saturday seeking their first league win of the season at Chapel Town.

Their hosts were 1st Division Champions last season, returning to the Premier Division after a four year absence. However, they have endured a tough baptism in the top division with away matches against two of the expected title challengers in Stockport Georgians and AFC Monton in their opening two games bringing 2-1 and 6-1 defeats respectively.

They will hope their first home game of the campaign will bring better fortunes but they face a Heys side also tipped to challenge for honours and eager to register their first victory of the season.

Heys have taken just the one point from their opening two games against Dukinfield and Stockport Georgians but know there has not been much wrong with their performances other than not converting enough of the host of chances they have created. That is something Manager Jon Lyons will be hoping his side will start to put right this weekend to kick start their season.

The Heys player-manager will hope to have recovered from a knock which forced him off at Dukinfield and will be looking for Mark Drew and Chris MacKay to have also regained fitness after similar mishaps.

Meanwhile at Adie Moran Park Heys Reserves will look to continue their flying start to the season at home to Hollinwood Reserves.

A 7-1 win at Walshaw and a 4-2 home success against Hindsford have established Jeff Kavanagh's side as the early pacesetters.

Hollinwood have suffered defeats in both their opening games but Heys will do well to recall last season when the visitors arrived at Prestwich propping up the table only to go away victorious after a 4-2 success.

Kick off is at 2pm. Admission is FREE.
