3-1 win at title rivals

Heys Reserves bounced back to winning ways with an impressive 3-1 win at Atherton Town on Saturday.

After the heavy defeat to leaders Heyside seven days earlier Heys knew they had to get some points against an Atherton side who were second in the table having suffered only one defeat in their last ten matches, nine of which had been won.

After much weather disruption through the Winter, Heys have looked a little rusty in recent weeks but they were too display much of their early season efficiency to take the points.

Matt Jolly set them on their way with the opening goal.

Steve Charles put an injury hit season behind him to put Heys two nil up at half time before Josh Barrick (pictured) put the game beyond doubt in the second half with his sides' third.

The win means Heys remain third. They are two points behind Atherton and eight behind Heyside but have five games in hand on both teams.

On Saturday, Heys face Pennington (2pm). Check back later in the week to confirm venue.
