Reserves host Leaders Heyside
Game switched to Eccles College
Heys Reserves kick off a huge couple of weeks when they play League Leaders Heyside at Eccles College on Saturday (2pm).
It’s the first of successive vital games with a trip to second placed Atherton Town to follow seven days later.
Tony Hanson’s side dropped to third in the table last Saturday following their 2-2 draw with Manchester Central.
However, they have five games in hand on both Heyside and Atherton whom they trail by five points, and three points respectively.
Heys defeated Heyside 3-2 when the sides met on the opening day of the season but the Oldham side have acquitted themselves well on their first season in the League and come into Saturday’s game unbeaten in their last eight matches, seven of which have been won.
If Heys can come through these two games with a healthy points return it will set them up for a busy run in with 18 games still to play.
