Barrick and Boswell goals not enough

The battle of the North West Counties League Reserve sides ended all square as Heys were held to a 2-2 draw at Chadderton.

With league leaders Heyside winning at Boothstown the result means Tony Hanson's side are now eleven points off the summit. However, they do have six games in hand.

Josh Barrick gave Heys the lead before the hosts responded.

A great finish by Liam Boswell then restored Heys advantage but Chadderton again hit back to secure a point.

Manager Hanson said afterwards "Liam took his goal really well. It was the goal of the game and worthy of winning the match. I thought Ross Buckley was our Man of the Match, he played really well. However, overall we huffed and puffed through out and didn't do enough to win the game on a very bobbly pitch."

The Reserves face another tricky looking way game at Boothstown next Saturday (2pm)
