After Saturday’s hard earned win over City of Liverpool, Manager Jon Lyons will be looking for his side to build on that success as they look to make up lost ground at the top end of the table.

The recent spate of cup fixtures means Heys have up to five games in hand on the six sides above them, but they need to win the bulk of them to cement their place in that pack.

Heys have done more than enough this season to show they can compete with the top clubs in the Division but it’s about consistency now as the League table starts to take shape.

Bacup were beaten in the Play Off Final last season and appeared to suffer a hangover from that at the start of this campaign.

However, they have recovered and sit in 14th place with 17 points from 14 games played. That’s six behind Heys who have played two games fewer.

They will bring some familiar faces to Prestwich in Coach Andy Barlow, who managed Heys Reserves whilst there are former Heys players in their squad in Shane Birtles, Marlon Barlow and Grant Mody.
