Bucket collections to be held

Heys will be holding bucket collections for the Lord Mayors charities at our final home game of the season against Whitchurch on Saturday 29th April, 3pm.

The Worshipful the Mayor and Consort of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, Councillor Mike Connolly and Mr Ian Hargreaves will attend the game in an official capacity. They will arrive at the ground prior to the game to be met by Club Chairman Neil Gilmore and will presented to the teams prior to kick off.

During their Term of Office, the Mayor and the Consort have adopted the Josh Wilson Brain Tumour Charity, Annabelle’s Challenge and Bury Alzheimer’s Society as the main beneficiaries of the Mayoral Charity Appeal, but other local charities will also receive support from the Appeal.

Josh’s Charity helps to improve the lives of children with brain tumours and post-surgery disabilities, through financial solutions for specialist equipment, house adaptations and advice.

Annabelle's Challenge is the leading charity for vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome in the UK which is a life threatening connective tissue disorder.

Bury Alzheimers Society is a local group providing support for those living with dementia and their families.
