Salford City donate dressing room block to Heys

Heys have received a helping hand from Salford City.

The National League North side have recently opened brand new dressing rooms at their Moor Lane base and have generously agreed to pass on their existing accommodation which consists of three dressing rooms, two team and a smaller match officials’ container, to Heys.

Heys Secretary, Scott White, takes up the story “We have had to wait until the construction of Salford's new dressing room complex before we could confirm anything and we have since been busy getting quotes for their removal and relocation.”

“Due to their location, the costs are much higher than we had hoped, around £4k, but they are worth more than twice that.”

"The containers are only a few years old, and are easily converted, initial thoughts are to convert one into a new toilet block and the smaller one into hospitality on match days (freeing up space in the clubhouse) and a medical room, but nothing has been decided as yet.”

“We are now looking at ways to raise the money, but if anyone has any ideas about potential sponsors for the project or anything that might help, please let us know.”
