Heys chose today's Adie Moran Day to announce that with immediate effect their ground will now be known as Adie Moran Park.
The announcement was made in the presence of the Moran Family with the unveiling of signage that will sit permanently on the half way line between the dugouts.
Adie led Heys through one of the most successful periods in their history between 2002 and 2007 including delivering three successive Manchester League Premier Division titles until his untimely death in 2007.
He also led the way in driving forward the development of the ground at Sandgate Road from a forrmer school field to the enclosed facility it is now.
An inspiration to a generation of players and admired across the football fraternity the club feel the renaming of the ground as Adie Moran Park is a fitting, lasting tribute to the memory of a much missed club legend.
