Heys bounced back to winning ways with a 3-1 win at Sandbach United this afternoon.
After the poor midweek performance at Stockport this was a vastly improved display against this morning's League leaders who went into the game on the back of a four match unbeaten run.
In a lively first half that saw chances at both ends Heys took the lead in the 20th minute with a great finish by Michael Itela (pictured).
The second half though belonged to Heys who were the better side throughout.
Paul Tierney seized on a goalkeeping error to put Heys further ahead in the 57th minute.
Two minutes later a superb passing move culminated in Shaun Johnson setting up Greg Wills for Heys third.
Sandbach pulled a goal back late on but Heys were good value for their win that lifts them to ninth in a table that sees only three points separating the sides from the top down to Heys.
