Kenyon Cup tie at Radcliffe Town on Tuesday starts pre-season campaign

After three Weeks of intense training Prestwich Heys step up their preparations for the forthcoming season this week with two matches in 24 hours.

On Tuesday night (15th July) Jon Lyons’s side open their Kenyon Cup campaign with the short trip to face Radcliffe Town (7pm).
Radcliffe who play at King George V playing field on Outwood Road,

Radcliffe finished mid table in division two of the Lancashire Amateur League and will provide a good early test for Heys who will also play Bolton County and Prestwich FC in the competition.

The following night (Wednesday 16th July) Heys raise the curtain at Sandgate Road with an eye catching friendly against North West Counties League Premier Division Maine Road.(7.15pm).

The south Manchester side came fourth in their division last season and start the new season under new management. Lee Bennett, who guided Hindsford to the Manchester league Premier Division last season, has recently taken charge of the Brantingham Road side who will therefore be well be versed in the way Heys play.
