The first pre-season appearance at Adie Moran Park was due to be on Saturday 14th July against Ramsbottom United. However, this has now been cancelled to allow the pitch more time to recover following extensive drainage work.

The first home friendly is now set for Thursday 19th July when Heys welcome FC United of Manchester to Adie Moran Park. The teams met three years ago when Martin Love scored a last gasp winner for Heys in a 1-0 win.

Two days later, Heys meet up with another former Manchester League rival in Wythenshawe Amateurs, who are now celebrating having become members of the North West Counties League themselves. They have been placed on Division One South for the coming season.

League One side Bury will be sending a side to Adie Moran Park for their now annual fixture on the 25th July. Heys won last season’s encounter 2-1.

The pre-season campaign is concluded with a local derby as Heys welcome Radcliffe FC to Adie Moran Park on 28th July. The game will form part of the Annual Family Fun Day, being preceded by the traditional Heys Old Boys v John Moran’s XI for the Adie Moran Trophy. There will be other attractions on the day, look out for more information.
