Match info and admission details

Heys return to the FA Cup after a 35 year absence on Saturday when they host Hallmark Security League Premier Division side, Abbey Hey in the Extra Preliminary Round.

It will be the clubs first FA Cup tie since 1st October 1983 when they were beaten 1-0 by Southport at Grimshaws in a 2nd Qualifying Round tie having disposed of St Helens Town and Droylsden in the previous rounds.

Heys go into Saturday's tie in good spirits, having made a winning start to the campaign with victories in both of their opening matches.

Abbey Hey appointed a new Manager in the Summer having narrowly avoided relegation last season.

Paul Moore has a wealth of experience from his professional career as a player to his coaching and managerial positions at a number of clubs including Macclesfield Town, Colwyn Bay,Warrington Town and Congleton Town. Paul was also the Head Coach at the Manchester City Youth Academy.

He has overseen an opening day 2-2 home draw with Winsford and a 2-0 home defeat to Runcorn Town in their opening fixtures.

On the mark, in the Winsford game, was Ashford Blake, who locals will recall from a brief spell with Heys in our treble season, but more notably for his goal scoring exploits for our neighbours Prestwich FC, prior to that spell.

The winners of Saturday's tie will be at home to Radcliffe FC in the Preliminary Round on August 25th.
